Racing career
For Daniel, Formula 1 was the start of his racing passion. He followed the sport throughout his childhood and teenage years - but it wasn’t until 2009 that he started racing himself, when a friend signed him up for the Porsche GT3 Cup Light in So Paulo.
Fast forward four years and Daniel was celebrating on the podium, winning the 2013 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Brasil. In 2015, he backed that up with another win in the Porsche GT3 Cup Brasil.
In 2019, Daniel added another trophy to his collection, claiming P2 in the 24 Hours of Dubai (SPX class) – before joining United Autosports in 2020 for the first of three consecutive seasons in the Michelin Le Mans Cup, which included podium celebrations at Paul Ricard.
In 2023, Daniel stepped up from LMP3 to LMP2, joining the new LMP2 Pro/Am class in the European Le Mans Series with friends and co-drivers Nelson Piquet Jr and Andy Meyrick. The #21 car celebrated podium finishes in Aragon (read more) and Spa (read more), and finished the season fifth place in the championship standings.
In 2024, Daniel Schneider is returning to the European Le Mans Series in hunt of Pro/Am victory - this time, teaming up with Olly Jarvis as well as long-standing co-driver Andy Meyrick.
Daniel and Andy have worked really well together in LMP3 and they both deserve the opportunity to step into LMP2.

In August that year, the duo celebrated their maiden Le Mans Cup podium at Paul Ricard (read the race report) and in 2022 – Daniel’s final season before moving up to the LMP2 category in the European Le Mans Series – they claimed four top-ten finishes throughout the season.
personal life
Daniel has three passions in life – motor racing, golfing and skiing. Spending time with his family is also top of the list so during the winter, when the racing season slows down, you’ll usually find him out on the slopes with his loved ones.
