Today, the ACO has confirmed that United Autosports will field four cars at the 2025 Le Mans 24 Hours this summer, racing in pursuit of endurance glory in the LMP2, LMP2 Pro/Am and LMGT3 categories. This will mark United Autosports’ ninth consecutive year racing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, since the team’s debut in 2017, with two victories, a third-place podium and six top five finishes secured to date.

“The confirmation of our four-car entry is fantastic news,” says Richard Dean, United Autosports CEO. “We love racing at Le Mans and, following our second LMP2 victory last summer, we are fired up for even more success in 2025. The scale of the operation to run four cars across the LMP2 and LMGT3 classes is hugely impressive and this year, on the 30th anniversary of McLaren’s Le Mans debut and race victory, preparations are already in full flow at United Autosports HQ.”

Two-time Rolex 24 at Daytona winner Renger van der Zande – who has 21 IMSA victories to his name – is the first to be confirmed for the esteemed #22 entry. The Dutch racer, who is yet to celebrate victory at Le Mans, is set to make his United Autosports debut at Circuit de la Sarthe, with his co-drivers to be announced imminently.

Renger van der Zande: “It’s always an honour to race at Le Mans – and this year, with the United Autosports team for the first time. Thank you to Richard [Dean] for making it happen and thank you to HRC [Honda Racing Corporation USA] for allowing me to go race. It has been a few years since I have raced the LMP2 at Le Mans … what a fantastic car, I can’t wait to get out there. The #22 United Autosports team has a great track record at Le Mans – I hope we can add a third win to the history books!”

#23 ORECA 07

Daniel Schneider, Ben Hanley and Oliver Jarvis

In the #23 LMP2 Pro/Am entry, Brazilian driver Daniel Schneider – who is about to commence his third LMP2 Pro/Am season with United Autosports in the ultra-competitive European Le Mans Series (ELMS), with three podiums and six top-five results to date - will make his 24 Hours of Le Mans debut with full-season ELMS co-driver, two-time Le Mans winner and five-time Le Mans podium placer Oliver Jarvis and Le Mans and Daytona race winner Ben Hanley.

Daniel Schneider: “Racing at Le Mans is a pinnacle moment in any driver’s career, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such a prestigious event with a team that has a rich history of success. This is a dream come true, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the trust and support from everyone at United! I’m also thrilled to share this journey with my amazing teammates, Olly [Jarvis] and Ben [Hanley]. Having such talented and committed co-drivers by my side is both motivating and inspiring. I know we’ll push each other to be at our absolute best, and I can’t wait to hit the track together. See you at Le Sarthe!”

Oliver Jarvis: “There is nothing like racing at Le Mans. This will be my 14th year … and I can tell you, the magnitude of contesting such a legendary race never fades! Last year, we took victory with United Autosports and that is, of course, the goal again – this time in the LMP2 Pro/Am class with my ELMS co-driver Daniel Schneider, who will be making his Le Mans 24 Hour debut, and Ben Hanley who I’ve known for years and is a driver you want on your side.”

Ben Hanley: “It’s great to be back with the United Autosports team for another crack at LMP2 Pro/Am victory. Last year, we had a strong set up but a dip into the gravel early on dropped us out of contention almost immediately [read more]. Now with Daniel [Schneider], who has proven himself to be a reliable co-driver over the past few years in ELMS, and Olly Jarvis, I think we have an exciting race ahead.”

LMGT3

In the LMGT3 class – the largest category on the Le Mans grid, with 24 cars confirmed - United Autosports and McLaren Automotive will field the #59 and #95 McLaren GT3 EVOs as full-season contenders of the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). This year is particularly significant as it marks 30 years since McLaren’s legendary Le Mans win, and – as the exclusive McLaren LMGT3 team at Le Mans – United Autosports will be racing to make history once again.

For Cottingham and Saucy, this will be their second consecutive year racing the #59 McLaren at Le Mans and, together with new teammate Sebastien Baud, the trio are hunting their debut Le Mans win – with a front row start and second place podium finish already in the bag in 2025 following the WEC season opener in Qatar last week (read more).
