We’ve been invited back to Silverstone for two top-secret days of testing to help crown the winner of the 2023 Aston Martin Autosport BRDC Award (AMABA). The prize? A cheque for £200k and a test drive in the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula 1 car … so yes, it’s a big one.
Past winners include David Coulthard, Jenson Button, Lando Norris and George Russell – and last year, Luke Browning joined the illustrious list after proving his skills in three cars including the United Autosports Ligier JS P320 LMP3 prototype (read more).
This year, the four shortlisted drivers - Taylor Barnard, Arvid Lindblad, Joseph Loake and Callum Voisin - will take on the might of the United Autosports LMP3 at Silverstone with benchmark times set by 2020 European Le Mans Series LMP3 champion Wayne Boyd.
