- Latorre and Patterson to make United Autosports debut in 2022
- United Autosports to welcome new sponsor, Revere Coffee to the team
- Revere Coffee livery for Ligier JS P320 for Le Mans Cup season
United Autosports are pleased to confirm that Andres Latorre and Garnet Patterson will join their Michelin Le Mans Cup team for the 2022 season.
Andres and Garnet will be making their United Autosports debut next year, joining the team for the first time, racing one of their Ligier JS P320 sportscars. Andres and Garnet’s Ligier JS P320 will carry a special Revere Coffee livery, mixing branding elements of new sponsor Revere Coffee, while staying recognisably a United Autosports race car. Revere Coffee will therefore become the team’s official coffee partner for the 2022 season.
Andres and Garnet have previously raced in the Michelin Le Mans Cup, having entered the Road to Le Mans event last season, where they finished a fantastic sixth in the first race of the weekend. They also entered the Spa round ahead of pulling together a full season campaign for 2022. Andres has also raced in the Australian Prototype Series, while Garnet has raced successfully in various prototype series and classes, including the Asian Le Mans Series and the FRD LMP3 Series in China.
The upcoming 2022 Michelin Le Mans Cup marks the sixth consecutive year United Autosports have entered the ELMS support series. They have also previously confirmed three other pairings for the 2022 season as Shaun and Max Lynn join their Le Mans Cup team, racing alongside John Schauerman and Wayne Boyd in the #23 Ligier and Daniel Schneider and Andy Meyrick in the #32 Ligier.
The Le Mans Cup season begins at Paul Ricard, France in April.
Andres Latorre:
“Ever since I started to follow endurance racing, I have aspired to race with United Autosports. I would like to thank Richard, Zak and the whole United Autosports team for entrusting Garnet and myself to be part of the team. We are also super excited to announce an official partnership between Revere Coffee and United Autosports, as both brands stand by the same values. Revere Coffee is a premium coffee brand for life in the fast lane. We can’t wait to get the season underway in Michelin Le Mans Cup. We see the series as a great platform to move up the prototype ladder. The hard work hasn’t stopped, I’m training hard physically and mentally every day to make sure we bring success to the team in 2022.”
Garnet Patterson:
“I’m really excited to be joining United Autosports in 2022. The team has an incredible reputation with Richard and Zak steering the ship, and I can’t wait to get stuck in and represent the team and the Revere brand with Andres. After two rounds in Europe this season, our aim is to build on our results and deliver the team wins and podiums next year. The future of prototypes is bright, with the introduction of LMH/LMDh over the next few seasons – and being with a team such as United Autosports, who has a large global presence and interest in the future of motorsport is a great opportunity for myself, Andres and the Revere brand for our long-term plans.”
Zak Brown:
“We’d like to welcome Andres, Garnet and the Revere Coffee brand to the team for 2022. The new livery looks great with the Revere colours, but also still looking recognisably United. We have four great line ups now for the upcoming Le Mans Cup season. I’m looking forward to seeing how they all get on.”
Richard Dean:
“I’m pleased to welcome Andres and Garnet to the team for the 2022 Michelin Le Mans Cup. They have some experience of the championship already, which will stand them in good stead heading into 2022. They had a great result at the Road to Le Mans event, finishing sixth, which isn’t easy in such a huge grid, so I’ve got my fingers crossed that we are going to be able to get some solid results next year. I’m also pleased to welcome the Revere Coffee brand to the team as our official coffee supplier for the season. I’m looking forward to working with them over the course of the year.”
