United Autosports, racing partner of McLaren Automotive in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), is also set to bring the iconic British marque to the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) in 2025.
“This will be our tenth consecutive season racing in the European Le Mans Series, so it is doubly exciting to announce our new programme for 2025, in addition to our championship-winning LMP2 activities,” says Max Gregory, United Autosports Managing Director.
Since joining the European series in 2016, United Autosports has secured four ELMS championship titles and a further four ELMS vice-championship titles across the LMP2 and LMP3 categories.
Now, the Anglo-American team is gearing up for its debut in the ELMS LMGT3 class, fielding the #23 McLaren GT3 EVO in the six-round 2025 series, in addition to the #21 LMP2 Pro/Am (read more) and #22 LMP2 (read more).
It follows a solid, podium-placing debut for United Autosports in the 2024 WEC LMGT3 class (find out more), and the news that United Autosports and McLaren Automotive will continue for a second consecutive season in the WEC, fielding the #59 and #95 McLaren GT3 EVOs in 2025.
“With the experience, understanding and expertise our McLaren LMGT3 team has gained over the past season in the WEC,” says Gregory, “we are moving forward with good momentum for the ELMS season opener in Barcelona.”
