- McGuire, Tappy and Bentley team up again in European Le Mans Series
- Trio to race #3 AERO Ligier JS P320 for third year together
- Season begins at Paul Ricard in April
United Autosports are pleased to confirm that Jim McGuire, Duncan Tappy and Andrew Bentley will return to their European Le Mans Series LMP3 team for the 2022 season.
The trio, who have raced together since 2020, will once again race the #3 AERO Ligier JS P320, when the six-round series returns in April.
Over the last two seasons Jim, Duncan and Andrew have scored one pole position, a podium and six top-10 finishes. They also entered the 2021 Asian Le Mans Series, finishing second in the LMP3 Championship after scoring three podiums out of four races.
The 2022 European Le Mans Series begins at Paul Ricard in April, before visiting Imola, Hungaroring, Barcelona, Spa and Portimao.
Jim McGuire:
“I’m super excited for year three of ELMS with United Autosports to add to the previous seasons in the Le Mans Cup and in Asia and IMSA. I’d say all the championships I’ve done with the team have been amazing, I’ve loved every second of it. ELMS will be great, visiting some new tracks. Back with Duncan and Andrew as well, we are aiming to be competitive and have a blast doing it.”
Duncan Tappy:
“Returning to United Autosports and ELMS for my third season is just awesome. Being a part of this team is a real pleasure and I’m really looking forward to seeing what progress we will make during the 2022 season. I know that Jim and Andrew are even more motivated than ever to have a really strong year. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Andrew Bentley:
“To be back with United Autosports for my third full year is a great feeling. Jim, Duncan and I have really become a solid team, enjoying our weekends and pushing each other to improve every race. We’ve had some great results over the past two seasons and we are all determined to push hard for some more.”
