United Autosports look to clinch the Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup Teams’ title on its first attempt with Carl Breeze and Luke Davenport aiming to add to their own points tallies in the Drivers' division.
Indeed Breeze heads for this weekend’s final two races with an outside chance of snatching the Driver’s “crown” while Davenport, in his first Supercup season, looks to consolidate a final top-six place.
#2 Blue Chip – Ginetta G55
Carl Breeze (GB)
Age: 35. Born & Lives: King’s Lynn, England.
“It would be great to get my 100th podium in the Ginetta championship in either of the weekend’s races. But to achieve that, we need to show more speed than we have done in the last two events. That said, I’m confident that the team will provide me with a winning car. With there still being an outside chance of me snatching the title, I’ll be giving it everything to end the season on a high at one of my favourite circuits.”
#23 Duo / Henderson Insurance Brokers – Ginetta G55
Luke Davenport (GB)
Age: 21. Born: Cambridge, England. Lives: Little Gransden nr St. Neots & Oxford, England.
“I am really excited to be heading back to Brands Hatch for the final race of the year. The GP circuit has changed very little over the past 50 years and consequently it is a fantastic adrenaline rush to attack some of the blind, sweeping corners with such speed. At the beginning of the season I took my maiden win in the SuperCup on the Brands ‘Indy’ circuit so fingers crossed I can repeat this again.”
Richard Dean, Team Owner and Managing Director, United Autosports:
“We have had a good debut year with the Ginettas. We are thrilled that Carl has been battling for the Driver’s championship and that Luke has got some wins under his belt too. It’s not been without struggles but all in all it has been a great year. We are looking forward to Brands Hatch where hopefully we can clinch the Teams’ championship too.”
