- UK agents for French manufacturer displaying range of Ligier sports cars
- Celebrating 50th anniversary of Ligier at annual Festival of Speed
- Modern day cars and historic F1 cars to be on display and run up the hill
United Autosports will be present at next weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed as Ligier UK for the first time (4-7 July).
Exclusive UK agents for the French manufacturer, Ligier UK, will be displaying four cars from the Ligier Automotive range, with modern race cars the Ligier JS P3 and the Ligier JS2 R doing demonstration runs up the famous Goodwood hill climb.
Also on display and doing demo runs will be the 1980 Ligier JS11 Formula One car, now privately owned and previously raced in period by Didier Peroni. This car finished second in the constructors’ championship after two wins in the 1980 Formula One World Championship.
Also on display will be the Ligier JS2 raced by Jacques Laffite and Guy Ligier in the 1973 Le Mans 24 Hours. The Ligier JS2 is the predecessor to the new Ligier JS2 R, designed and built to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ligier.
Richard Dean:
“We are excited to be displaying the range of Ligier sports cars to the public at Goodwood for the first time. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ligier brand, which we are proud to be part of. The four cars we have on display are only a small range of the ones manufactured by Ligier, but we hope the public enjoy seeing them on display and running up the hill.”
